Trials Expire

Focus: Proverbs 23:18 KJV: For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.

Your current trial has a definitive expiration date. God’s promise is that if you keep your heart anchored in Him, the hopeful future and righteous outcomes you anticipate will never be sabotaged or canceled by your circumstances.

Hannah was barren for years. Her rival constantly mocked and provoked her, making her season of waiting feel completely endless. Her dream of having a child seemed entirely cut off. Hannah took her deep sorrow directly to God’s house, weeping and praying for a son. Once she received a word of peace from Eli the priest, her posture shifted—she stopped crying and ate, maintaining an internal expectation of God's goodness. Surely enough, the barren season ended. God remembered Hannah, and she gave birth to Samuel, one of Israel’s greatest prophets. Her long-held expectation was not cut off; it was brilliantly fulfilled.

Your waiting room is not your permanent residence. No matter how long a difficult situation dragged out, God holds the final calendar. Keep your expectations high and your trust in Him, because your breakthrough has an unshakeable appointment with reality. That which has caused you to shed tears will soon be turned around for your joy and laughter.

Prayer:

Thank you, father for never leaving me in times of trouble. Today, let your presence melt every trouble I have been passing through by terminating them instantly; and let a new dawn of glory begin in my life to seal the mouths of my mockers forever, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
