22. Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
Matthew 11:27-30
Burdens are created by the enemy to shake the believer. But there is someone who is greater and more powerful than the enemy and can turn situations around without stress. There is actually nothing anyone goes through that is beyond the abilities of God to solve. It is important however to put the burdens in God’s care and not wrest it from Him pretending to be able to solve it ourselves. Such struggling is counterproductive. Even if we struggle from now till ever, since we have no power over it, we are not able to do anything about it. Let it go and let God take it up.
A man was impotent and made effort for thirty eight years to no avail. The day he met with Christ and agreed to cast his burden on Christ, he got his freedom. And, there was also a man who was born blind who encountered Christ and got fresh eyes to the chagrin of religious leaders. A woman had made efforts for twelve years to cause her hemorrhage to stop but could not. Once she cast the burden on Christ, she became restored. Her struggle made her bent over and drained all her savings. She needed not pay Christ to get her healing: it was bestowed freely – easy yoke.
Today is the last day in this very month and God seeks to set many free from their struggles and burdens. All that He is asking us to do is trust Him with the burdens to bear. No matter how long the issues have lingered, we have made our own efforts and it does not seem to be yielding. Why not allow the better burden bearer to take charge and set you free from the pain and agony. Put the devil to shame today by surrendering the burdens to Christ. He cares for you.
Please pray:
Father, I thank you for always bearing my burden in exchange for your easy yoke. As this month ends today, terminate every burden that has occupied my mind preventing me from serving you as I ought, in Jesus’ name. As the new month begins tomorrow, let my life be filled with your grace anew that all burdens I woke up with today will no longer be in existence by the next sun, in Jesus’ name. Lord, cordon me newly with your hedge of fire to forestall the burdens of life from weighing me down in any way again, in Jesus’ name.
Please share with others. God bless you.
