Do you love God
Text: 1 Corinthians 2:9
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

2 Chronicles 1: 6-11
Message:
To love God is to obey all His commands which can be summed into loving God by having no other person/thing preferred to Him; and loving one’s neighbor as himself. Indeed these two can be further reduced to loving God whom you cannot see by loving your neighbor whom you can see. This is the basic requirement of God from every man. It dovetails into selflessness and being able to forgive one’s neighbor, no matter what. It will appear to many theologians that the wealth of Solomon was a direct result of the sacrifice of a thousand burnt offerings. Scriptures depict that what that gave him was merely wisdom which he sought from God. The reason he got all the additions which he never asked for was for his selfless request, that is, not asking for gold or silver, the lives of his enemies and so on. Anyone that is selfless in his ways and clearly defers to God is a lover of God. By the dictates of God, such a person is decorated here on earth to unimaginable levels and subsequently in heaven, the same. He is preferred above others. Are you in the habit of maltreating the poor? By the way, ignoring the poor particularly when you are in capacity to assist is maltreatment. Every poor you assist is a loan unto God. He will surely recompense. In 1 Kings 10:27, Solomon further showed selflessness as he treated silver like stones in his kingdom. The ’stones’ he left on the street was for the purpose of the poor. By the standards of heaven such a being could never have been poor. Are you still thinking of avenging yourself on someone who you assumed hurt you? How then can you be Chris-like if you do? Leave vengeance to God and show Him love by loving that being despite his misdeeds. God loves you. Love Him in return and you will see horrendous blessings.
Prayer:
Daddy, I pledge to love you by loving my neighbor by the help of the Holy Spirit no matter the person of that my neighbor. Do help me to fulfill my pledge that your unspeakable outpouring of blessings may be mine in Jesus name.
