Evangelical Prayers

Focus: 1 Kings 18:37 KJV: Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the Lord God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again.
To the believer, the true motive behind a genuine miracle should not be personal fame, but revival. Our prayer should beg God to answer by fire with huge miracles so that a compromised crowd will reject false idols, recognize the true God, and experience a supernatural turning of their hearts back to Him.
Israel had spent years spiritually wandering, crippled by indecision while following the wicked king Ahab and worshipping Baal. Elijah did not pray for fire to show off his own power or destroy his critics. His singular focus was the heart of the nation. The moment he prayed this verse, divine fire fell, and the people immediately dropped to their faces, screaming, "The Lord, he is the God; the Lord, he is the God". Their hearts were instantly turned back to their God.
The ultimate goal of God's power is always restoration. When we pray for breakthroughs, our motive should not be comfort or validation, but that God's glory would be clearly seen so that wandering hearts can find their way home. It is not God’s heart that any should perish but come to repentance. But how would they believe except they see signs and wonders. Pray for signs that they may believe so that God, and not you, may be glorified.
Prayer:
Father, I thank you for allowing your signs and wonders to follow us in ministry. From today, even as we pray, let greater miracles, signs and wonders begin to occur so that many who are lost may retrace their steps back to you, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Please share. God bless you.
