Focus: Hebrews 4:2 - KJV
2. For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
The Word of God is quick and powerful; sharper than any two-edged sword with the power to pierce any bone even to the marrow. It discerns the thoughts and intents of the heart. This is why, it is possible for a multitude to listen to the Word of God and only a few believe. Those who believe are those in whom the Word finds faith and they He prospers. Imagine in these days, agents of darkness raising posers about scripture regarding the creation and Adam and Eve and the fact that Cain went elsewhere to marry, saying who gave birth to those people? They forget that the one that was given inspiration to write the account in Genesis was not born at any of the times accounted in Genesis. The Holy Spirit only revealed to him that which was necessary for his assignment and pursuit. If God had stated everything as it were in the beginning, how can we properly assimilate and put to use what would come therefrom? For instance, the full account of the creation of heaven and the creatures therein is not set out: all we are told is heaven was created. Neither did we have the detailed account of what happened that put the earth into voidness after the creation of the heaven and the earth. But God in later times has revealed this to those in whose hearts He found faith and they are walking by it.
Beloved, let your faith be strong in the Word of God. Don’t be like them that seek to fault the writings and directions of God. Rather be one of those who search the truth in the scripture and put forward evidence by the help of the Holy Ghost of the truth therein. In doing so will your profiting show.
SOLUTION: Because the letter of the Word kills but the Spirit gives life, seek always the spirit behind every scripture you read and you will not fall into error.
May the Holy Spirit enlighten your mind and make you a carrier of the Light of the Word of God in the name of Jesus Christ. May the beauty in the Word of God be quite revealing through you all the days of your life in Jesus name. May you never fail in the understanding of the Word in Jesus name. That Word is your Sword. Take it up.
