God Callers, Beware

Writer: Jide OlaoreJide Olaore

Focus: 1 Peter 1:17 - KJV

17. And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

Romans 11:16-22

God is no respecter of persons. His judgment is perfect regardless of the party being judged. The tendency is for those who relate to God as their father to take things for granted while dealing with Him. God is not a man that has no character: the man is someone today and someone else on another day. It is counterproductive to assume a posture of being over familiar with God, and thereby relate with Him in such a way that we do not give full heed to His instructions.

Israel was the doyen of God while He sought a nation through whom to rescue mankind from sin. God had made promises to Israel, starting from Abraham to Jacob and on, regarding His love for that nation. Unfortunately, when salvation came, Israel turned his back on same. God allowed them to remain blind to salvation so that salvation may reach the entire world. Bottomline is, God did not hesitate to cut Israel out for the gentiles to be grafted into His root, when His doyen refused to abide in His love.

Today, God wants us to know we need to remain absolutely faithful unto Him as we call Him Dad. A son is expected to respect his father absolutely in all ramifications. If He could set Israel aside in His judgment, there is nothing that should guarantee any other of God changing His standards of judgment for his sake. Forget not that He introduced Israel to Pharaoh as His first born. Let us therefore be careful to retain our position in Him so as not to fall into His judgment.

Please pray:

Father, I love you and want to remain your beloved son to the end. Whatever I will do, that may bring me into the wrong side of judgment, please prevent for your love’s sake, in Jesus’ name. Please forgive those who hitherto strayed by taken you for granted and give everyone a new slate, dear Lord, in Jesus’ name. On this very day, let the benefits of being yours be glaring in my life, for all to see, in Jesus’ name.

Please share with others. God bless you.
