5. This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
James 1:17-18
Everyone that knows the true God knows that He is Light and that He casts no shadow. A shadow comes from an object who has no light but receives light externally from another source. God Himself is Light. He made us to be like Him and therefore, to shine as light upon the earth. Unfortunately, there was one who was the cherub that covereth: he is made with rubies and all manner of ornaments. While he covereth, he glowed with the light from the source and thought it was his personal beauty that made him to glow. Thence, he rebelled against the source and was banished from His presence. He fell unto the earth in his lightless nature and therefore became darkness. That also is the fate of everyone that refuses to be like the Light. They end up in darkness.
King Saul was privileged to encounter the Light through His prophet. By the encounter, he began to shine. Not so long after, he forgot that the matter that made him glow was not in him but bestowed. Then the Light left him (banished him, so to say); the resultant effect of which was darkness bringing about misbehavior, madness and all manner of ills. Christ made it clear that because He is fused with the father, while in the world, He remained the light of the world. Wherever darkness was found, He dispelled it. While He was to depart, He declared to us believers that we are the light of the world. For as long as we are fused with Him, even as the scriptures have said “ye are gods”, then we are the light of the world. The effect of that is to dispel darkness wherever we are found.
God is searching all over the earth to see the glow of the sons of men, but the effect within the pervading darkness is rather faint. The Lord is therefore, reiterating the fact that as individuals, we should let our lights so shine for all to see. Stop hiding your light under the bushel. Let darkness flee at your appearance. Let God be glorified on earth for your sakes. For how long will darkness thrive over the earth when the Church is still on earth? Where then is the effect of the Church over the earth? When will we truly manifest as sons of God to give relief to the creatures over the effect of darkness? Think Church, think.
Please pray:
Father, I thank you for that which I have attained in wanting to be like you by the help of your Holy Spirit. Please help your Church so that everyone that is named with you may begin to glow with a great effect over darkness in the name of Jesus. Let me particularly shine brightly for you in Jesus’ name. From this day, let every shadowy affair or nature in my life depart forever in Jesus’ name. No more darkness but light eternally I shall be in you, in Jesus’ name.
Please share with others. God bless you.
