God’s Supernatural Protection

Focus: Acts 23:16 KJV: And when Paul's sister's son heard of their lying in wait, he went and entered into the castle, and told Paul.

Our God utilizes ordinary, unnamed and unsung individuals as well as hidden details to execute His supernatural protection. The ways of the Lord are absolutely not our ways. He hears every thought and weighs every action. He knows what to do per time to put our detractors into disarray and cause them to eat their own flesh or drink their own blood rather than ours. He chooses whom He likes for our rescue and safety, and not necessarily the people we desire or hinge our hope upon.

A radical group of zealots bound themselves under a curse, swearing they would neither eat nor drink until they had ambushed and murdered the Apostle Paul. God did not send a thundering angel to stop the plot. Instead, He positioned a young man—Paul’s nephew—to overhear the conspirators "lying in wait." Showing zero hesitation, the young man bravely stepped into the Roman barracks ("the castle"), bypassed guards, informed Paul, and eventually alerted the Roman chief captain. His fast action triggered an immediate military response. The chief captain assigned Roman soldiers to escort Paul safely out of the city under the cover of night, completely shattering the assassination plot.

God's protection often works through ordinary human alertness. The enemy may plot secret attacks or schemes behind closed doors, but God is never caught off guard. He will strategically place the right person at the right time to uncover the snare, ensuring that his purpose for our life remains perfectly safe. God is still watching over you.

Prayer:

Father, I thank you for always being there for me, thwarting the plans of my enemies over my life. Let every conspiracy against my life and destiny boomerang today. Let the enemy be dumbfounded for my sake. Let your supernatural shield over my life put the enemies into confusion in all of their plans. Please send help to me today, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Please share. God bless you.
