Memorize: 1 Peter 3:9
Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.
Read: Genesis 8:21-22
Every man born of a woman who is not regenerated, has a heart imagination which is evil from his youth. This is a fact which cannot be wished away. But the mind of God is to, through a spiritual heart surgery, replace the heart of stone with that of flesh. This only happens at regeneration.
Every regenerated man, having been given a heart of flesh in replacement of the heart of stone, is called to implement the will of God which is to ensure the regeneration of as many other people as possible. It therefore runs contrary to the will of God for anyone who is regenerated to curse another whether regenerated or not. To curse a regenerated person is to open oneself to the condemnation of his tongue which surely will hold as it is commanded of God. You don’t want to go through that. To curse a non-regenerated person is to create an atmosphere for the destruction of the fellow thereby operating the ministry of the thief and making the death of Christ over the person go in vain.
No matter the action of any man towards you, knowing that the imagination of the heart of man is evil from his youth, you are enjoined not to render evil for evil but bless them who despitefully use you. When you bless, you thereby invoke for yourself a harvest of blessings knowing that by the order of God, while the earth remains, seedtime and harvest will never cease. It is what you sow you reap. If you feel too hurt and decide to curse, it may come to bear on the person you have so cursed, but the harvest of the same curse is directed on the curser.
It is important for you therefore, to imbibe a heart that blesses. If you have had to curse anyone before now, before the curse starts to yield a harvest quickly seek the face of the Lord to uproot the plant that has started from the sown seed. Pray for that person erasing the curse urgently and start blessing him instead. This way, you will reap a harvest of blessings.
Pray: Father, I forgive everyone that offended me deserving a curse. If by any action I have placed a curse on anyone, I recant the curse and I pronounce them blessed instead from today in Jesus name. Please bless me also and make me a blessing in Jesus name.
