10. And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.
Proverbs 18:10
Welcome to the very last month in the year 2025. May the Lord release unto you everything He has in stock for you since the beginning of the year, which has lingered so far in Jesus’ name. In this month, the Lord wants us to know that the reason we do not take full benefit of our God is that we do not really know the name of our Lord. What is in a name? The name gives insight to the personality of the bearer. When we do know the name of the Lord and appreciate the power in the name, we are emboldened to put our trust in Him. But, how does anyone put trust in a person he does not really understand His being? The Lord’s name is so powerful that those who put their trust in Him have unequalled safety and wellbeing.
The name of the Lord is in itself a strong tower, a tower of protection. It is at the mention of His name that every knee should bow at every realm, and cease their operations. Peter and John knew the name of the Lord. When they got to the beautiful gate and saw the begging lame man, they put the name to use and the devil that held the lame man bound let him go. It appeared like magic but it is what it is – the power in knowing the name of the Lord and placing trust in Him. Whenever the righteous runs into that name he is safe.
The first port of call for every believer should be to ensure we know the name of the Lord. Those who do not know the name of the Lord are susceptible to being blown about by the winds of doctrines. They rather do not really know the one in whom they claim to believe. We are therefore, enjoined to first of all learn who the Lord really is by knowing His name and trusting Him based on His true being. Then are we able to draw from His prowess and be true beneficiaries of His being. Happy New Month!
Please pray:
Father, I thank you for the new month of December that you have given me the grace to witness. Please, let me know you more that I may put my absolute trust in you, in Jesus’ name. Let your name be my shield and eternal reward, in Jesus’ name. Let it open to me ways of great possibilities, in Jesus’ name. And, please, by your name, make this month a month to remember for good, in Jesus’ name.
Please share with others. God bless you.
