Liars And Reprobate Workers

ree

Focus: Titus 1:16 - KJV

16. They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

2 Timothy 3:1-9

It is the very last day in the seventh month today. God has been so faithful to us despite our shortcomings. Today, the Lord wants us to address the shenanigans of those who profess Christ with their mouths but there is nothing Christ-like in their beings. They are never obedient to Him and have nothing good to point to about themselves. They are so abominable in that not only do they not obey simple injunctions, they even go ahead to turn brethren against themselves thereby creating strife and discord in the body. Yet, when there is a gathering of the people of God, they occupy the highest places and parade themselves as being of God.

It was so in the days of Jesus Christ too: when the Scribes and the Pharisees would array themselves in chiefly garments, occupy the front pews, enforce laws against others whereas they themselves did not obey the laws. Christ did not spare them but called them out that they may come to repentance. Paul counseled Timothy about perilous times that would come in the last days, which days are now. Many of such abominations are now mentioned amongst the Church. There are now many lovers of pleasure than of God, they have a form of godliness but deny the power therein. When they move in society, they are viewed as being of God whereas, in their secret, there is nothing godly about them.

The Lord is saying: for how long shall we remain in the valley of decision, and be stuck between light and darkness? If, indeed, we want to be for God, then we should abstain from lies and all abominable acts so that even God may reckon with us amongst men as being His own. When we remain in a confused state of professing Christ but acting out satanic manners, then we remove God from our equation and embrace Satan the chief of liars. Of course, there is clear repercussion for doing so: they that deny God here on earth shall He deny also, in the end. Let us make up our minds that we want to be for God and abstain from all lies and other works of the devil.

Please pray:

Father, I thank you for the grace to be alive on this last day of the seventh month of the year. I pray that you will please continue to be God over my life so I may be further preserved in the land of the living, in Jesus’ name. I wish to be yours and yours alone, therefore, everything bringing about confusion and crossroads in my relationship with you, please terminate today, in Jesus’ name. Help me never to be abominable unto you, dear Lord in the name of Jesus. Let today be the beginning of my full Christlikeness, dear Lord in Jesus’ name. And let the new month be more glorious than this in Jesus’ name.

Please share with others. God bless you.
