Focus: 1 Samuel 10:6 - KJV
6. And the Spirit of the LORD will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man.
Numbers 11:25-29
Whenever the Spirit of God locates a life to stay with, the said life is translated from ordinary into being supernatural. It is by the Spirit that man was made a living soul in the beginning and it was the separation of the Spirit that turned him to an ordinary being that became susceptible to death. So, when the Spirit locates a man, He makes the same a wonder to his generation. The list is legion of that which the Lord did and are mentioned in scripture. The same Spirit raised Christ from the dead, made it impossible for Elijah to die; and for Elisha, even though he was pronounced dead, his bones still lived after.
The Spirit makes unthinkable things happen in the lives of those who are not ordinarily considered important. Saul was a wanderer when God made him to start prophesying amongst prophets. Elders in Israel that were seventy appointed to assist Moses, got of the Spirit and also began to prophesy; some two others amongst them actually began to prophesy within the camp to the chagrin of many. Bottomline: the coming upon by the Spirit gives extra life to them that are so privileged.
The message of God to us today is to curry the Spirit that we may become extraordinary. The Lord is willing to give unto those who will ask Him a portion of His Spirit that they may become a wonder to their world and begin to do great exploits in the name of the Lord. For instance, the Lord seeks those to partner with to cause the light brought into the world by Christ to shine the more brightly prior to His impending return and He has sent this message out to ask if we are available so that He might equip us with His Spirit for the assignment. Will you be enlisted today?
Please pray:
Father, I thank you for the experience I have in you of the measure of your Spirit with which I have been able to do a little towards the ministry of reconciliation. I ask that you please pour your Spirit upon me the more that I may become extraordinary and so supernatural indeed to the extent that just my person would preach to many without me having to open my mouth at all. Please let your Spirit work wonders in this life through me to the glory of your name, in Jesus’ name. Starting today, let me begin to work wonders by your Spirit to the glory of your name, in Jesus’ name.
