Little Is Much With God

ree

Focus: John 6:8-9 - KJV

8. One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, saith unto him, 9. There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?

2 Kings 4:1-7

All things belong unto God and remain under His control. He has also given control to men for as long as they can operate in obedience and faith. Hence, no matter how meager a supply may appear, it is more than enough to cater for present needs when taken over by the Lord. No matter how so impossible the situation may seem, the little can be multiplied by the one who owns all things, without much ado. All that is required is the involvement of God. Once that is sorted, the rest is simple.

Jesus had a crusade where there were at least five thousand men in attendance and needed to feed the congregation but no preparation was made for doing so. Alas, there were only five loaves and two small fishes available in the entire congregation. Yet, when Jesus shared it, He successfully fed everyone and had leftovers. In the days of Elisha, a widow of one of the sons of the prophets was indebted and had only one small jar of oil. When Elisha spoke to it, the jar of oil filled many barrels and after selling, paid off the indebtedness with leftover.

The Lord is asking that we involve Him in our economic equations and find dumbfounding solutions. Christ said, hitherto have you asked nothing in my name. Today, He is saying, hitherto have you not committed your economic matters unto me; do so now and your joy will be full. One of the ways of doing this, like the lad with the lunchbox, is to sow that which is available but inadequate to meet present needs, unto Him, and He will take it over from there. It naturally sounds impossible; but the Lord is saying today “taste and see that the Lord is good”.

Please pray:

Father, I thank you for being my Provider. From today, I submit my little unto you as it is not able to meet my needs, that you may breathe on it and multiply it for my abundance and to the glory of your name, in the name of Jesus Christ. Like the lad and the widow woman, make me an example of your multiplying abundance and I will testify to your goodness at every opportunity, to the glory of your name, in Jesus’ name. Let this day mark a supernatural turnaround in my life even as I become absolutely debt-free by your intervention, in Jesus’ name.

Please share with others. God bless you.
