No Fear

Focus: 2 Timothy 1:7 - KJV

7. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Romans 8:14-17

Without faith, there is fear. Anyone who lacks faith in God leads his life in bondage to fear. The two are different and opposite. Those who have faith please the Lord and create things according to the power that works in them. Those who fear make a lie to become real in their lives and in the end blame the Lord for their fearful state that had given birth to negativity. Our God does not want us to fear. Hence, He refused to give us the spirit of fear but rather that of adoption into His family. And because He is a good father, He is available to meet our needs when we believe He is indeed our great provider, deliverer, Shepherd and father. Indeed, He has put us by His Spirit in the same heritage as Christ.

It was fear that made Abram to lie about the identity of his wife to Abimelech. He forgot that when God is for us who can be against us? Fear turned Simon Peter into a jelly in the garden when Jesus was taken, but faith gave him boldness in the front of Council after the Pentecost. Fear made king Saul and the entire Israeli army a mockery to Goliath; faith made David the champion in that battle when he beheaded Goliath. Fear made the Church to want to discourage Paul from going to places to preach, whereas faith made him to rebuke them and proceed in the face of the threat of death whereupon he declared that for hi, to live is Christ and to die is gain. Those who were afraid then are dead many times over, but Paul lives on till today through scripture.

The Lord is encouraging us to step out of our fearful state and embrace true faith so that we may be pleasing to Him. He needs us to realize that every time we exhibit fear, we deny God and therefore call Him a liar. God truly is and whatever He says He would do, He is capable of doing and would do it. Let us therefore be faith-full in all that we do going forward so that we may be the true representatives of Christ and real children of the Most High.

In the name of Jesus, your faith will start to move mountains for your sake from today. No devil will be able to cow you with deception ever again, in Jesus’ name. What had caused you to fear in times past will never be able to stand before you again, in Jesus’ name. The Lord will take you to heights where your exercise of faith would dumbfound even the mighty in Jesus’ name.
