No shame for God seekers

Text: Psalms 34:4-5

4. I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. 5. They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.

Bible Reading:

1 Samuel 30:1-20

Message:

Since man strayed from the presence of God through sin, the truth is, it is God that has been seeking man to return just because of love. One can then imagine when God the seeker now finds another seeking Him how so much delighted He becomes about such. Everyone that will take time and occasion to seek the Lord in whatever situation such may have brought himself in his frolic, will find succor and will never be ashamed. As a matter of fact, those who seek the Lord before setting out to do anything at all are never lacking in direction and are therefore never prone to failure. Our Bible Reading is highly instructive. When David went on a frolic, the enemy struck in his compound and left him with his lieutenants highly devastated. He must have realized that his proceeding on the frolic was borne out of not first seeking God. So as not to fail a second time, before pursuing the devastating enemy, he sought God first and in the end, he was victorious – no more shame but victory. Are you embarking on projects and assignments without seeking God first? Then you are on a frolic. Don’t wait until you are devastated before seeking your God. Seek Him now when He is yet near you. Tomorrow may be too late.

Prayer:

Father, I want more of you in all my endeavors. Please help me to look to you in everything I do so that I may never fail, in Jesus name.
