We see the tangible rewards of righteousness throughout Scripture:

• Elijah: Even when he commanded a famine upon the land, God ensured he was fully provided for. His commitment to God's ways made him an exception to the surrounding hardship.

• Hezekiah: When faced with an "imminent death" sentence, he could point to his account of righteous living. God responded by crediting him with an additional fifteen years of life.

The Call to Holiness

Ultimately, we are the primary beneficiaries of our own obedience. A life lived in holiness causes us to blossom so brightly that others are drawn to serve the God we represent.
