Focus: 1 Peter 2:15-16 - KJV
15. For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: 16. As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.
1 Peter 2:13-17
Known unto God are all His acts from the foundation of the earth. Therefore, there is nothing that happens on the earth or any part of it that surprises the Most High. Again, the thoughts of God are very far in variance from the thoughts of man. Because God dwells far above, He sees a wider spectrum of the happenngs on earth than from the position of any man thereat. Moreover, no one attains a position on earth without the knowledge of God. Some of those we consider as tyrrants are actually God’s agents for the punishment of evil doers. The will of God in us is that we, as change agents, obey them placed in authority over us so that by our good deeds, the ignorance of foolish people may be put to silence. When people sell their conscience to obtain percuniary pittance to vote for not well-meaning “leaders”, they do so without considering the repercussions of their actions. When the repercussion appears, they start to blame church leaders for not speaking against those in authority. Aren’t the people in authority chosen by the people? Should not these people who like Esau, do not mind to give away their birth right for immediate inconsequential meal be allowed to suffer the consequences of their ill actions?
Beloved, when God is in operation, the one who is thoughtful praises Him, for all things work together for good for them that love God who are the called according to His purpose. If there is a pain you are experiencing because of the wickedness of those in authority, please endure with patience and pray for the mercy of God that God may make the people well meaning enough to choose correctly. The position of selling birth right does not apply only to those in governmental authority; it cuts across all the spectrum of society including the Church. Let the reader beware. Just obey them that are in authority so that you do not offend God.
This day, I join my faith with yours to ask for the mercy of God in all affairs that the tyranny of office will not affect you negatively in any form or sphere in the name of Jesus. Every ill choice of man shall be corrected by God for your sake in the name of Jesus. As you obey those placed in human authority over you, God will cause you to enjoy the good of the land or space or office in Jesus name. The Lord be with you. Blessed day.
