Preservation guaranteed

Key verse: Psalms 121:7-8

7 The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. 8 The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

Read: 2 Chronicles 20:1-25

When the enemy decides to move against one, he hurls an avalanche of trouble at him. The victim becomes so overwhelmed by the size of the problem. Truth is, the tool of the enemy’s trade is fear. He instils fear in the victim to want to make him to deny the existence of his God. When the problem is not large, it is not so great a test of faith. Many had fallen prey of the enemy by looking at the size of the opposition instead of the might of their God.

The contest on Mt Carmel in the days of Elijah was enough to make one cringe and run. But because Elijah knew his God, he was bold and did exploits: he alone was able to see to the extermination of four hundred and fifty prophets of an idol while shaming a whole king and his diabolical queen. David, an inexperienced lad knew his God and was strong to defeat Goliath a champion of war. By all known human considerations, these fetes are ordinarily impossible. In our reading, three great warring kingdoms matched against Judah, because the Lord has promised preservation for all that rest on Him, they needed not raise a sword or spear; the Lord Himself laid ambush against the nations and got them to discomfit themselves while His children watched and spoiled the defeated enemy.

For a user of this Guide, no matter how big the opposition you are facing now is, because of the might of your God and His promise of preservation over you, those enemies shall fall for your sake now in Jesus name. Just have faith in God and be confident that what He says He would do, He is able to do. Your Goliath will lose his head this month in Jesus name. You must however be sure to be on the Lord’s side and cry to Him for help. Jehoshaphat called on God and showed his laudable cause before the Lord sent word to him for victory. But what laudable cause have you to assume the Lord can arise on your behalf? Put it forward today and you will see the glory of God. If, however you have none, you can plead for mercy and start from today to put forward your good deeds before God. Happy New Month.

Pray: Father, I believe in your promise; please preserve me under your shadow forever in Jesus name.
