Focus: Romans 8:11 - KJV
11. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
John 20:22-23
There is a Spirit that quickens. When God created man, he purposed to create him in His own image and likeness. Upon moulding the clay, He breathed Himself into the man, and the man became a living soul. When the Son of God was to be born on earth, He was of an immaculate conception. As He was born, though no one was seen pouring oil on Him for an anointing, the Bible records it that He was anointed with the Holy Ghost and power, went about doing good because God was with Him. The Spirit that put Him in His mother was the same that He was said to have been anointed with. For clearer understanding, it was that the Lord breathe on Mary for her to conceive the Christ. So, when Christ died to restore man and rose again, His rising was made possible by the Spirit in Him which never dies. That Spirit in Elisha was so effective that He caused the dead bones of Elisha to raise the dead. After rising from the dead, that man may be restored with the Spirit of power to the place of Adam before the fall, like He did to Adam at creation, He breathed anew upon the disciples to receive the Holy Ghost, that Spirit of power.
Ever since, and from the evidence that showed forth on the day of Pentecost, the Spirit has been with man available only unto the members of the household of faith. It was that Spirit that made Adam alone to tend the Garden of Eden, a space larger than many known modern States; He raised Christ from the dead; He made Him to work diverse miracles including raising the stinking dead and suspending gravity; the same has shown in the lives of biblical disciples and some living disciples of this day. If only we also now will allow the self same Spirit to inhabit our bodies, which is His Temple, then will He take us over and make illnesses of no effect in our lives again even as He makes us do extraordinary things that will cause other beings to marvel.
I pray with you therefore, as you will allow the Holy Spirit dwell in you richly from today, those things that you had seen as difficult before become easy for you to achieve forthwith in the name of Jesus Christ. The Spirit that catapulted Philip without a wagon and made Elijah to outrun the king’s chariots will make you to overtake all those who had gone ahead of you concerning the good things of life in Jesus name. Be quickened from hence. Your success is heralded. Glory to God.
