Focus: Isaiah 58:10-11 - KJV
10. And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday: 11. And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
Isaiah 58:9-12
The Lord has some expectations from anyone connected to Him for the same to start to show forth the aspect of such connection in blossoming and shining. Indeed, without fulfilling such expectation, there is no connection, in reality. When we are connected to the Lord, we start to be like Him indeed; the fruit of the Spirit is, in actual fact, the manner of God. Hence, those connected to God are endowed with love and the heart, to support the hungry and satisfy the afflicted. Of course, those who are able to turn that curve, start to shine forth like the Lord whom they resemble. The Lord Himself adds His light to them that they may shine even brighter. As a result, they receive guidance from God continually, and even when there is a drought or famine, they are not affected by it in real sense. In essence, they start to bloom like a garden that is constantly watered; and like an unfailing spring.
Look at Solomon for an instance: when he was made king, his heart was to love the people and to lead them lovingly. Hence, he never asked for the lives of his enemies or any such which man would normally seek. His request was around the safety and blessedness of the people of God. As a result, God bombarded him with wealth which in turn translated to the wealth of the people, in that silver, which was to others big time wealth, was left on his streets like stones. Meaning, the people were so filled with wealth that they passed by silver and did not countenance it. That made the reign of Solomon one of a kind and his wisdom and light was indescribable. Many others have come after Solomon who, when they showed love to the needy, the Lord gave them wealth untold, and health also.
If we must shine and bloom on earth, we need to start learning how to be like God in love. One of the ways by which we show love is in telling others the good news of salvation and the need for everyone to be ready for the coming of the Lord, which is the event the whole creatures are now awaiting. The signs are clear. If we do not want people to miss out, we must show them love by letting them know about the impending gloom for those who reject salvation. When we do our part, then will the Lord make our paths to shine brighter and brighter until the very day Christ comes. It is a way of seeking the kingdom of God, so that all the things which people run after in the world, may be added to us, without much ado.
SOLUTION: Let us not be weary in doing good. In fact, let us be deliberate henceforth, in seeking out those who are in need, so as to be a blessing to them. Then will the Lord deliberately seek us out to guide and add kindness to.
Please pray: Father, please guide me by your Spirit to do only the things approvable of you and let my shining overwhelm every observer in Jesus’ name. Let my life take a turn for better from today, so that I will be like the spring whose water never fails and like a constantly watered garden, in the name of Jesus Christ. Do let me become an example of blessing, in my generation, in Jesus’ name.
If you are blessed by this post, kindly share with your contacts as well as others, that they may be blessed also. Thank you and may God bless you abundantly as you do so, in Jesus’ name.
