Sitting In Heavenly Places

Focus: Ephesians 2:6 - KJV

6. And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

Ephesians 1:20-23

It is not everything that operates in life that is open to the sight of every man. There are mysteries untold that are witnessed through the end results thereof and therefore create wonders among men. Not many can sight and see the things that are operational in the heavenly realms, yet God has accorded the grace to see it to some. What they see, when they say, sound like impossibilities to those who cannot see. To those who see, they have found that upon His victory over death and by His ascension, Christ is seated on the right hand of power above all principalities and powers. Not only that, everyone that accepts His Lordship becomes located in Him where He is so seated; and this translates to authority on earth.

Peter was a timid fellow who was scared of an earthly damsel who spoke under the influence of demonic powers from the realms to torment him with fear during Christ’s travails. But once the same Peter got a location in Christ where He is seated in heavenly places, though he be a resident still of the earth, he commanded principalities and powers to yield and they did since they were already made his footstool by his new location. Hence, not even the voices of the High Priest and the rulers of the Jews, even though ladened with demonic assault, could deter him anymore from doing the work of the Master. He raised the lame, preached in the name of Jesus and continued to do so despite their rebuke.

A place is reserved for every believer like Peter, inside Christ Himself for which He expressly stated the signs that would follow. As operators from a realm above all principalities and powers, the believer speaks on earth and it is done. He lays his hands upon the sick whose sickness of course is from the realm of principalities and powers, and he recovers; and he takes poison but is not hurt by it. God is saying what else can anybody want than to be in charge of affairs wherever he finds himself? That is available when we take a position in Christ by believing Him and accepting His Lordship truly. Pretending to believe and doing things inimical to Christ puts the person out of Christ and His wonders.

Please pray:

Father, I appreciate your goodness over my life by your creating a space for me in Christ Jesus, right at the right hand of your throne. From now on, please keep me fixated in Christ by your Spirit that I may never fall back to the ground in Jesus’ name. Put all principalities and powers right under my feet that I may always triumph over them in my operations in this realm, in Jesus’ name. Let your power rest squarely on me by reason of my positioning, in Jesus’ name.

Please share with others. God bless you
