Stability Of Man’s Times

ree

Focus: Isaiah 33:6 - KJV

6. And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD is his treasure.

Isaiah 33:1-6

There are different times in the life of every individual. There is a time to be born and there is that to die; a time to plant and a time to pluck up what is planted. For many, their planting has been evil continually and because there is no wisdom in it, they have been reaping evil fruits all along. For it is the lack of the fear of God that man does evil planting. Unless and until he quickly plucks up that which he has planted in repentance and return unto God in reverence and awe, he continues to reap evil largely and his times basically unstable. When he returns to God in fear, his past deeds may just be taken care of because it is impossible to mock God.

Cain was a funny character. At a good season of his life, he purposed to give an offering to God. Ironically, he gave an evil offering, in a manner of speaking. Hence, God rejected the offering as there was no good treasure in his heart as it was offered without the fear of God. Rather than do the needful by undoing the evil he did, he continued to delve the more to evil by killing his brother. When he heard the consequences of his actions, he knew it was rather heavy and asked God for some reprieve. Of course, no matter the reprieve, a deep cut always leaves a scar behind even when closed back to heal.

If our times must be stable, we need clear wisdom and knowledge to stare us away from evil and remain in the fear of our God. Let us therefore abstain from sowing evil seeds by spoiling others particularly the members of the household of faith. It is important that we realize that there is nothing we do that has no record with God. We may assume we are defending or avenging ourselves just like Cain may have assumed, but his deed made his life miserable and therefore unstable. Please abstain completely; hold on to wisdom and knowledge in the fear of the Lord, and start witnessing a stable life as treasure.

Please pray:

Father, I thank you for your love that endears me to you and makes me to fear you. I look to you for a stable life devoid of evil harvest thus far and I pray that you will by your Spirit help to uproot whatever evil seed I may have sown in the past so that it may cease to germinate, in Jesus’ name. Please keep me far from evil and evil from me even as I embrace the wisdom and knowledge in living my life in fear of you. Let the blessings in such treasure never cease to manifest in my life, in Jesus’ name. In all, please let my life be goodly stable through and through, in Jesus’ name.

Please share with others. God bless you.
