There is a spirit in the world: the spirit of lying, blasphemy, whoredom, Mammon, sodomy etc. It has so moved man away from acknowledging their Creator not to talk of worshipping Him. The same spirit has found itself into the assemblies of people who claim to be in search of God. What is manifesting on various pulpits are things the owner of the Church will never approve. For instance, howbeit that people of questionable character be allowed on the altar of God in the congregation of saints all in the name of being “societal VIPs”? Even preachers now are careful what to say so as not to offend some people in the congregation.
The Christian is no longer able to speak boldly to someone of another faith whom we know is not a faith that leads to heaven so as not to offend the fellow. Meanwhile, to all that believe, Christ has accorded the Spirit of boldness, truth and of sound mind, that by the Spirit, we may reprove the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment. The Believer in Christ is meant to preach in boldness by the Spirit in him which is of God, such that anyone that hears him, anyone at all, if he had been a sinner, will repent of his sin; and as a corollary he is to embrace righteousness by giving his life to Christ having understood the import of the finished work on the cross; and the Believer, still operating in the Spirit should be able to judge every issue of darkness that may have been operating in the life of the convert hitherto or that may be operating even in the vicinity in which they find themselves at the time. That is the Spirit that the Lord has given to His Church. But do we experience this anymore? May be in a few places.
The focus of the Church must return to the purpose for which the Spirit was given to us. Are you a part of the Church and this is strange to you? Your conversion is that you may be able to operate in the power of the Holy Spirit as described. Start praying for the filling of the living water that you may also be meaningful in the Kingdom. If you are not born again, you can surrender today and seek the same grace. You are not forbidden if you do.
Pray:
Father, please restore your Church to original setting that you prescribed so that your Kingdom may reign over all the earth in Jesus name.
