Focus: Psalms 86:11 - KJV
11. Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.
Philippians 3:2-14
Prior to the advent of the Christ, many people sought to know God but understood not the way. Israel assumed when one is circumcised, he is of the Lord and will end up with God in the end. But many were circumcised that lived a terrible life and even in life they knew the verdict about their lives. Moses through the voice of God and relation with Him was able to perform wonders including the parting of the Red Sea and many other great fetes. Yet, when the chips were down, he still sought to know God because he realized he was yet to know the way of the Lord. Then came Christ telling us He is the answer because He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. So, if anyone will make it to the Lord, he must of necessity follow this Way. But it is not just by claiming to belong to Christ that we know the Way of the Lord. Paul also was of Christ. He forsook all his attainment and stuff on earth for Christ and for His Kingdom. Yet, he realized that in every bit of the way, he still had not known enough. He counsels that no matter what we have apprehended in the way to the Lord, we should not count it as anything. Even the perfect should be minded to keep pressing towards the highest calling of the Lord in Christ Jesus. Yes, The Perfect.
Beloved, there is nothing we have or we are that ought to command relaxation in our quest for knowing the Way. Every time we check ourselves, we will discover that there are yet things to learn about and from the Christ and therefore we cannot afford to stop learning. Until the day of glory, the search must continue. One thing is certain, the earnest expectation of the creature awaits the manifestation of the sons of God. Until sonship is fully formed in us, we are yet a disappointment. If we bear this in mind, then we will be conscious of the need for a continuous search until the perfect day. Don’t stop. Please don’t relent.
SOLUTION: The knowledge of God is said to be unsearchable just like anyone who sees Him dies. But at the persistence of Moses, he was given a glimpse. Let’s persist in the place of prayer by daily asking Him to show us His Way just like David, that we may walk in His Truth. When the Truth is formed in us, let’s maintain righteous living never to depart.
The grace to know the Way of the Lord on a progressive basis the Lord Himself will grant you in Jesus’ name. The power to walk in Truth and never to depart from it, receive today in Jesus’ name. Every attempt to make you fall off from the Way is thwarted today in Jesus’ name. Keep pressing towards the mark. It’s no longer far.
