Those Afore Prepared Unto Glory

Focus: Romans 9:23-24 - KJV

23. And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory, 24. Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

Romans 8:28-33

A beautiful day, a good time to appreciate God. There are people whom God sends to the earth and just makes their appearances like ordinary men do, as babies, then toddlers, adolescents and so on. But before releasing them, God Himself already crowned them with some glory to the extent that no matter the circumstance into which they are born, the conditions of their upbringing or even their take off status in life, that glory propels them to positions where they are made to shine eventually. They are, like Christ said, a city set upon the hill that cannot be hid.

Whilst in the mother’s womb, Jacob was identified as a glorious child. Jesus the Christ Himself, came like an ordinary baby and was born in a manger. It did not debar His glory from manifesting eventually, despite all the odds and machination of men. No one knew or recognized the glory David brought into the world in his early life. But a time came when the glory could no longer be hidden and it came to fore. Esther was a slave girl but carried the glory and purpose of God that could not be hidden but projected her to becoming the queen of the land of her enslavement. In essence, for as long as we are marked by God for His glory, no devil, situation or circumstance can truncate our destiny.

The Lord is saying to us today that He is the one that called us and that he did so to make known to all the riches of His own glory in us. Now, it is not our duty to make it known; He is the one that makes it happen. Let us therefore concentrate only on the things that God has called us to, and leave Him to, by Himself, showcase His glory upon us. It is not our business howsoever He chooses to do so. With David, it showed through warfare: first with the lion, then the bear and then Goliath. For us, He can make known His glory in us any way He wills. What is sure is that no matter what happens, the glory would be brought to fore in no distant time. We are city set upon the hill.

Please pray:

Thank you, father for calling me, marking me apart and ready to be glorified, in the community of men. That glory which you had given unto me from the foundation of the world, please make it to show forth for all to see and know that I am one of them that you called for your glory, in Jesus’ name. Every power trying to truncate my destiny that your glory for my life may not show, please pull them down today, in Jesus’ name. Do not allow your glory for my life to be buried without being shown, in Jesus’ name. Take me to the place you have prepared for me that your name may be duly glorified in me, in Jesus’ name.

Please share with others. God bless you.
