Text: Ecclesiastes 7:12
For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it.
From our Bible text, it is clear that both wisdom and money operate as defense to any man. But then a greater fortification is wisdom as it is the only defense that guarantees life out of the two. Money answers all things. With money, comfort, treatments, luxury and what have you can be purchased. However, it is possible for money to buy a house or houses without getting a home, hospital treatment without health, marriage without bliss, pay comedians to constantly jest for happiness without joy. But wisdom guarantees insight and ability to meander in every situation of life to obtain the best of living. Wisdom is profitable to direct, no matter the situation. To acquire wisdom, you must first have in you the fear of the Lord for it is the beginning of wisdom. Those who fear God will obey every of His command. They will not mock things that have to do with God. Knowing that God determines whether they live or not no matter how much they have cornered into their accounts on earth, they hold God in awe to ensure He is not offended of them. They acknowledge God in all their deeds and indeed put Him in the pride of place in all. Incidentally, Jesus is the wisdom of God. So, wisdom is a person. To be wise therefore, there is need to acknowledge Jesus and abide by His dictates and directions. He has been through all that you may ever go through and more. So, He knows how you feel in your situation at every point and is able to help you to navigate out of the current quagmire if you will allow Him. You want to live and live well, then get wisdom by getting Jesus into your life and affairs. He will bring you to honor in all ramification. Embrace Him.
Daddy, like Solomon, I seek wisdom of you from today. Please grant me more than you gave to Solomon since you have made me greater than Solomon through your salvation. Grant my request Lord and I will never depart from you. This I ask in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
