Key verse: Revelation 22:13
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
Revelation 22:12-15
Everything that has a beginning has an end. There is a time to be born and a time to die; a time to sow and a time to reap; a time to laugh and a time to cry; a time to break down and a time to build up and so on. But there is one being who has no beginning! He is the Beginning Himself. There is nothing that was made that He did not make. Hence, there is nothing that began that He knows not about and because He is the beginning and the ending Himself, He is able to end whatever has begun. For instance, when Israel went to Egypt for sustenance during famine, it appeared a good deal but God knew it was the beginning of bondage for at least four hundred years. And when it pleased Him, He brought it to an end after four hundred and thirty years.
Every problem and circumstance we face today has a beginning and therefore will have an end. Therefore, that which is biting you and making you feel weighed down today shall give way as it comes to an end now, in Jesus name. Nonetheless, as everything has an end, even the current earth as we know it will come to an end. When the Alpha and Omega shall appear to take over the reins of the earth, then those with their names in the Book of Life who are those who obey God’s commandments to the end, shall be given access to the tree of life and live thereby in the new City which the Lord has prepared for them. When the Alpha and Omega decided it was enough for man in the garden which He started for him, He needed no one’s consent to end it. When He thought to bring an end to existence in Sodom and Gomorrah, not the plea of Abraham could avert it. When He decided to wipe out all creatures at the time of Noah, nothing prevented Him. He remains the same then and now. He has promised to return to earth to judge it, separating the wheat from the chaff. The time to do so is closer now than when the promise was first made. It will surely happen, whether we like it or not.
We are mere tenants on earth beloved. Whenever our rent expires, the Landlord ejects us. We need to know that even if His coming does not meet us as promised, our ending shall come some day and somehow. What we need to be concerned with is when the time comes for His appearing or the end of our tenancy, what happens to us next? If we yield ourselves to obeying His commands, then shall we end well. Are you obeying Him?
Pray: Father, please uphold me to the end in Jesus name.
