Believe And Be Established

Focus: Isaiah 7:9 - KJV

9. And the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliah's son. If ye will not believe, surely ye shall not be established.

2 Chronicles 20:20

Those who must take the benefit of our God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. It is not enough to pay lipservice to believing but rather truly believe and acknowledge the Lord as God. We cannot be calling God a liar and assume we can take benefit of Him. One of His principles is simply put: If I am not worthy of you, then you are not worthy of me. Hence, He declared, those who honor Him He honors; and when we draw nigh unto Him, He draws nigh unto us. Unless we believe Him truly, there is no way we can expect to be established, for the just shall live by faith.

Jehoshaphat was confronted by an opposition mightier than him and his nation. He knew he had no way of escape except he aligned himself with the Lord Most High. Of course, one with God is a majority. For as long as we hold God in high esteem, higher than what confronts us, He surmounts the same for us. Hence, when he submitted himself as well as his people unto believing in God, the Lord gave them the formular that makes the enemy destroy themselves by themselves – praise. As Judah believed him to arrange praise singers and instruments in battle against swords, spears and chariots with horses, the enemy fell before them in the pools of their own blood, while Judah was established.

There is so much unbelief amongst the supposed believers of today. They proclaim with their lips the mightiness of God, yet they quiver in the face of the slightest opposition. Even when they have the slightest of challenges, they are quick to query the faithfulness of God. The Lord is asking us to be true to our belief and stop hanging in the balance. When we truly uphold our faith in our God, then will He respond by getting us established where He has kept us. When we allow fear to paralyze our beings, we say to God that He is not able to rescue us and He is thereby excluded from such affairs. Let us therefore hold our faith sure in God no matter the things we see or experience, in the meantime.

Father, I thank you for the clarity I have of your person and limitless abilities. Kindly subdue today, every challenge saying where is my God, in Jesus’ name. Let no power of hell be able to cow me ever, in Jesus’ name. By the truth in your word and person, please overthrow my challenges and cause me to be established in you, in Jesus’ name.
