Focus: Isaiah 46:9-10 - KJV
9. Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, 10. Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
Joshua 3:7-17
God is constant. Though He be invincible to the ordinary eyes, yet He is. Because He is invincible, many fail or refuse to believe Him. Meanwhile, those who must take benefit of Him must believe that He is and a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. We can see God in His old deeds and agree that He does not change. What He did before, He can do again even in a greater propensity. So, if we observe and remember the things He had done, knowing also that He lives in a span called eternity where He sees the ending of a thing even from the beginning, then we ought to believe Him and rely on His promises. Joshua had observed great things God did through Moses. He didn’t know how it was done but he witnessed the happening. Now that Joshua had become the leader of the people, he already had a promise from God who aided Moses, that He would be with him also. Here came River Jordan as an obstacle between Israel and the land of promise. All Joshua needed was not to see God physically before believing Him, but to remember the things he saw God do for Moses at the Red Sea, took instruction and followed it through. Gbam! Like the Sea parted for Moses, the Jordan parted for Joshua. He never parted water in a tea cup before then.
Beloved, believe God for His promises concerning your life. Your assurance is in looking at the old things He had done before, through men. He healed the sick, raised the dead, made a way where there was none, made an axe to float in water, brought sanity to the insane, created eyes for someone who had none, made incurable diseases to bow and made the barren fruitful, to mention a few. Because He did it before, He will do much more again, if He finds you a worthy vessel to use. He has promised to be with you in the same way He promised Joshua. You need not shake at His promise. Just believe Him because He is God and there is none other higher or greater than Him. Soon, you will start to experience great happenings through you if you do believe.
SOLUTION: Cast that doubt away. It is the source of failure. Be strong and of good courage. Let the old things be your precedent for your basic reliance on God. Pray Him to show forth like of old. He sure will answer you.
Father, we stand on the authority of your word and command the miraculous to begin to happen through us, greater than before, even from now on, in Jesus’ name. Let every knee in the heavens, the earth and beneath the earth start to bow to our commands in the name of Jesus forthwith in Jesus’ name. Prove yourself as the only God from now on through us like you did through Daniel and many others in Jesus’ name.
