Christ Ambassadors

Focus: John 17:18-19 - KJV

18. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. 19. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

John 20:21-23

An Ambassador is an official envoy, especially a diplomatic agent of the highest rank accredited to a foreign government or sovereign as the resident representative of his or her own government or sovereign or appointed for a special and often, temporary diplomatic assignment. Christ was God’s Ambassador from heaven to the earth to perform a specific assignment – liberate man from sin. This assignment He has completed and returned to base. But the Embassy of the Heavenly Kingdom on earth cannot be left vacant and unattended because the work of redemption is not complete until the target recipient learns of it, accepts and ascribes it to himself. If a horse has been tied to a stake for too long without enjoying the liberty of galloping about, when its noose is removed, it may not realize he can move about until someone pushes him to. Same is with the story of human salvation from sin and its consequences. Unless someone goes to tell them, how are they to know and if they do not know, how will they be free? For faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Hence, as the Father did make Jesus His Ambassador, we have also been appointed to carry on the assignment. Christ performed His task successfully before returning to base. Our task as Ambassadors is to go into all the world and announce that salvation has been wrought and completed.

One major thing about the Ambassador is that He relies on the home country for resources and information to operate on. Many fail in their missions when they are disconnected from the home base or are misrepresenting their home country or just doing what they would devoid of their Appointor’s interest. When we are acting correctly as Ambassadors, we prove our sanctification and our Appointor makes sure we are loaded with materials to work with. When the Embassy is broke, please check if there is still a nexus with the home office (check your sanctification). No worthy Appointor leaves his Ambassador in the cold. But are you still sanctified? Then check your connection.

SOLUTION: Create an unwavering contact with the Lord Jesus Christ to receive regular instructions as well as send home Reports of happenings at your base and you will most likely remain a worthy Ambassador.

I pray with you today that together God will find us worthy Ambassadors for Christ in Jesus name. The Spirit with which Christ was anointed that made Him go about doing good will rest upon each of us also that we may do better and greater works than Christ did in Jesus name. God bless you, Christ’s Ambassador.
