Come Out

ree

Focus: 2 Corinthians 6:17-18 - KJV

17. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18. And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Isaiah 52:11

Our God is the Lord of holiness and purity. He indwells those who love Him and therefore enjoins them to be holy and pure even as He is, as there cannot be a walking together except parties agree. With Him, to be pure is to abstain from all impurities and those who practice them. For unless there is total abstinence, the vessel that seems pure can and may get contaminated, whereas contamination brings an abomination to the sight of the Lord who indwells him. Those who do not stay pure keep the Lord out of their beings. The pure vessels sustain the presence of God in themselves and He becomes their father and they, His sons because His presence in them affords them guidance into all good works and eventual destiny fulfilment which is the ultimate goal of the Kingdom.

Israel was the nation the Lord had picked to be the example of how to relate with the living God. Unfortunately, due to some famine that hit many places including the promised land, Israel found itself in Egypt. Israel had its ways with the Lord which ways are completely alien to Egyptian tradition and culture. Hence, Israel was unable to serve God appreciably for the number of years they were in Egypt. That put them in slavery and bondage since they operated in impurity by mixing with the Egyptians, and not necessarily because they practiced the Egyptian traditions or any of it, which as it were, were abominable in God’s sight. Until the Lord drew Israel out of Egypt and separated them from the impurities thereof, He could not receive them as His son, His first born. From the moment they sought and got separated, they started to experience the wonders of God.

The Lord is saying to us today that there are some relationships we keep that make us impure before Him and therefore inhibits His coming into our habitation. If only we can check and separate ourselves from the unholy things and relationships, then shall we experience God’s presence in a renewed manner as He manifests as our father and gives us the pleasure of His presence which guarantees fullness of joy and pleasures evermore. A refusal to be separate from impurities and those who engage in same, is a rejection of God’s presence and all the blessings attached thereto. Unless we carry God in our beings, we cannot attain sonship which is the whole essence of Christ’s sacrifice for us. Think about this and make up your mind today to be separate from all impurity.

Please pray:

Father, I thank you for the grace to have you resident in me. The further grace to sustain your residence through holiness and purity, do please release afresh on me today, in the name of Jesus. Every impurity and purveyors of same, please separate between me and them permanently from hence, in Jesus’ name. Let the world begin to recognize your presence in my life by reason of your manifest and manifold blessings therein, in Jesus’ name. Do draw many more to the recognition of this truth today, in Jesus’ name.

Please share with others. God bless you.
