Key verse: Galatians 6:9
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Philippians 4:8-9
Happy New month to you beloved. It is the last month in the first half of the year 2021. We pray that this month will be for us all a month of great rejoicing in Jesus name. It is not unlikely that we have been praying for and looking unto God for certain things from the very beginning of the year till this very day without a seeming response in the form of manifestation of answers to such prayers. The word of God to you today is “don’t faint”; keep doing the good things the Lord has portioned you to do. Surely, He will come through for you soon.
One of the most heinous things a person can be counseled to endure is the betrayal and his near murder by his siblings. Joseph went through this and more. He was thrown into the pit and heard the discussion to slay him and how it was subsequently resolved that he be sold into slavery. He found himself in servitude and did not change his countenance to God. When his master favored him and it appeared God was looking out for him after all, he ran into trouble with the master’s wife. Wanting to keep doing good and not defile the madam, he ran into trouble with his master too. Interestingly, unlike some of us would have done, Joseph did not faint even though the problem with his master landed him in confinement. But in due season, his good deeds bore good fruits and he became the beneficiary of it. Not only was he blessed, he became a blessing to the entire known world at the time. This because he did not turn against God, he did not faint from good deeds.
Christ our example got to the tail end of His assignment on earth, seeing the effect of bearing the sin of man which is a momentary separation from the Father, He sought that the cup pass him over. But because that was the good deed He came to achieve in the world, He submitted to the will of the Father and carried it through. In the end, because He did not faint, He earned a name above all names in all the realms. Are you also overwhelmed with the current situation facing you? Is the world appearing more tortious than you envisaged? Please do not faint. You will surely reap the result of your good deeds. Wait for it. Happy New Month!
Pray: Father, please keep me standing in good deeds to the end; and do ensure that I do not miss my reward in Jesus name.
