7. For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?

1 Corinthians 4:1-7

It is important for every man to come to the consciousness of the fact that there is nothing we have which was not given to us. That consciousness will create more humility in us. Fact is, if something is given, it can be retrieved. Incidentally, the gift of God is without repentance. Hence, when God gives to us, even when we turn against Him, it appears that which was given remains. This accounts for the misbehavior of many that makes them assume they are still on the side of the Lord while operating in hatred and crass iniquity. They proceed to judge others glibly trying to remove the spec in their eyes without first taking out the logs they have in their own eyes. This was the story of the friends of Job who eventually needed to be prayed for by Job and got rebuked of the Lord.

Whatever it is we have, let us endeavor to be humble about it knowing that we received it and not assume so much that we are any different from our neighbor. Your wealth, health, knowledge, wisdom, intelligence and all of it were given unto you. Never rate any other or judge them based on what you have or your position. God is the righteous Judge and He is the One that will reveal all secrets and make it glaring in the end.

SOLUTION: Be humble in all your ways. Judge not for you don’t know it all. Take all things in love for love believes all things and trusts all.

May the Lord help us to be trite and right in His sight in all our doings in Jesus name. May we never be adjudged guilty of wrongly judging or maltreating others in Jesus name. God bless you.
