Don’t Kill The Heir

Focus: Mark 12:7 KJV: But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be ours.
Happy New Month, beloved. In this new month, the Lord will cancel the plans of your adversaries over you and elevate you to the throne He prepared for you, in Jesus' name. The Lord Jesus gave us the parable of the Wicked Vinedressers. In it, He exposes the ultimate peak of greed, entitlement, and rebellion of many. By it, He describes people who recognize who the rightful heir is, but choose to murder him anyway, foolishly believing they can violently steal his inheritance and rule his territory on their own terms.
Joseph was the father's favorite son and the designated heir, marked by his coat of many colors and prophetic dreams of leadership. His brothers deeply resented his inheritance. When they saw Joseph approaching them in the fields from a distance, they said among themselves: "Behold, this dreamer cometh. Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit..." They plotted to eliminate him to steal his future.
Joseph's brothers tried to cancel the heir to secure their own positions, but human envy cannot overthrow God’s alignment. Instead of destroying his inheritance, their betrayal was used by God to fast-track Joseph straight to the throne of Egypt. When people try to violently take what belongs to God or His anointed, their schemes will always backfire to serve God's ultimate plan.
Prayer:
Father, I thank you for loving and anointing me above my fellows. In every plot to destroy me to prevent me from getting to the throne you earmarked for me, cancel their plans and see me through to the end like you did for Joseph. Let every current usurper of my throne be dethroned suddenly and elevate me according to your plan, today, in Jesus’ name.
Please share. God bless you.
