Get Wisdom

Focus: Proverbs 4:7 KJV: “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.”

Wisdom is not just a helpful tool, but the supreme priority of human life. It is the foundation upon which everything else—character, success, and fulfillment—is built. We therefore, must be willing to trade any lesser earthly asset to gain true wisdom, spiritual insight and discernment. They that lack wisdom are easy prey to the enemy. They fall his victim without much ado.

When God offered Solomon anything he desired, he bypassed requests for wealth, long life, the destruction of his enemies or even power. Instead, he asked for an understanding heart to discern justice. Because he prioritized wisdom as the principal thing, God gave him a discerning mind that exceeded all who came before or after him, while also throwing in the riches and honor he never asked for.

Beloved, the Lord is pointing us to the germane pursuit that can take us truly above. The pursuit of wealth, destruction of enemies and what have you, is tantamount to majoring in the minor. All these are the bye-product of wisdom. If we obtain wisdom from the Lord as against that of the world, which is inverted and wicked anyway, we are guaranteed wealth, longevity and victory over the enemy always. Get wisdom.

Prayer:

Thank you, Lord for your wisdom that rests upon willing believers. I seek your wisdom that will make me navigate this terrain successfully without falling prey of the enemy. Let me receive the wisdom with which I can rule and reign in love without offending you in any way from today, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Please share. God bless you.
