Focus: Nahum 1:7 - KJV
7. The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.
Psalms 73:1-28
God is known to be a merciful person. Because of His mercy and love, He shields every man per adventure the sinner would realize his folly and come to repentance, one day. Hence, by the mercy of God, we are not consumed by the enemy whose constant enterprise is to steal, kill and destroy. However, when push comes to shove, the Lord sticks with them that trust Him. What this simply means is that, if there is a reason for God to choose someone to save in a particular situation, He chooses those who trust Him. And to make that choice, He ordinarily knows and recognizes them. When in Egypt the angel of death sought to kill the first born in families, God decided to separate those who trust Him from such calamity. All He did was to give an instruction so that those who failed to obey may know that it is for their lack of trust in God that the evil had befallen them. All those who obeyed were passed over by the death wielding spirit. The same yesterday, today and forever is still giving instructions to separate those who trust Him from doom. The latest instruction is to say that He would soon come for those who trust Him leaving the others to experience the great tribulation which the enemy of man is about to unleash upon the world.
You can be saved of the Lord from the peril that is looming like the sword of Damocles over the world. When the Lord comes for those who trust Him, it will be for a royal banquet and wedding, just like the Israelites had a banquet in the night the spirit of death visited Egypt. When those left behind are crying in pain, those who trust God will be celebrating. To be on the celebrating side, choose God now and obey His commands going forward.
SOLUTION: The only way to show to God that you trust Him is to kiss the Son. You kiss the Son when you obey His commands and hope in His promises.
Daddy Lord, we desire to reign with you: we put the totality of our trust in you from today. When you come for those who trust in you, please count us worthy in the name of Jesus Christ. Please do everything possible to exclude us from the great tribulation that awaits them that do not trust in you in Jesus’ name.
