God Ordered Steps

Focus: Psalms 37:23-24 - KJV

23. The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. 24. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.

Psalm 119:1-8

When the ways of a man be right with God, the Lord Himself orders his steps in his endeavors and makes his enemies to be at peace with him. It does not matter the extent of wickedness the enemy hauls at him, the Lord ensures that he is not completely cast down or made an object of ridicule or mockery. There is nowhere a believer is promised a tribulation free life. Nevertheless, for as long as he remains a believer, no matter the height of tribulation, the Lord sees him through it and ensures he comes out valiantly. Hence, it is always advisable to operate in goodness so that the Lord may take over the ordering of our steps, thereby forestalling a fall.

Job was a good man by God’s own testimony. The enemy sought to sift him like wheat and got him. The intention was to make him deny God and curse Him. Since he was a good man, the Lord continued to order his steps such that, even though he was down to nothing, he remained convinced that his Redeemer lives, and therefore would come through for him somehow. Job cursed everything curse-able but refused to curse God because his steps remained ordered by God. In the end, the Lord ordered his steps into realizing that unless he forgave and prayed for his tormenting friends, he would continue to delay his restoration. When he towed the Lord’s line, he was doubly restored.

God is asking that we allow Him to order our steps by towing the path of goodness and faithfulness in the Lord. That is what reassures us of victory at last in all of our situations and circumstances. No matter what the enemy may have done or be doing, for as long as we have the Lord on our side, He would guide us to the overcoming point. Let us therefore, never give it any thought to switch from goodness to evil in any way. For if we continue to be good, we have an assurance from God to order our steps and uphold us, always with His right hand.

In the name that is above every other name, the Lord will order your steps from today and you will neither fail, nor fall. Where the enemy has dug a pit for you that you may fall and thereby offend the Lord, God by His right hand will lift you over and keep you standing, in Jesus’ name. In any way that the enemy has caused you to lose anything, by the order of God, you will find insight to the path of restoration today and you will be restored doubly in Jesus’ name. The Lord will bring you into a new life of refreshing in Jesus’ name.
