8. And unto this people thou shalt say, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I set before you the way of life, and the way of death.
Deuteronomy 30:15-19
The life of a man is premised on the choices he makes. When a man decides for light, he by himself settles for life. Those who prefer darkness to light end up gnashing their teeth. There are indeed two pillars that determine what happens to a man in life. There is the pillar of light headed by the Most High God. This pillar exists to give light to the simple and obedient. There is also the pillar of darkness headed by the devil. This exists to draw people into perdition and death. Those who reject the light settles for this pillar automatically. Hence, for men not to end up with darkness, God at all times make it abundantly clear that they have a choice to make. Ironically, the effect of the choice made may not reflect instantly but it does eventually in the future.
Before leaving Israel in the hands of another leader, Moses gathered them together and read to them a riot Act dovetailing in their having to make choices which choices determined whether they would live or die, and whether the life they would live in the land of promise would be great or otherwise. When Joshua also divided the land to them, he reiterated the same position, calling them to attention and the need to choose between obedience and disobedience meaning life and death. For as long as they lived in obedience, they enjoyed God’s presence and peace; when they did not, they encountered trouble and turmoil almost all of the time.
We are being reminded that the way our lives have turned right now is because of our past choices. Those that had chosen disobedience in the past and now experience turmoil are enjoined to have a rethink and choose obedience to the ways of God as set out by the Lord Jesus Christ. Unless we do so, we are by ourselves asking that darkness should continue to reign in our affairs. Yet, nothing good protrudes from darkness.
Please receive this:
The light of God that shines in darkness shall overshadow your life today and make darkness run completely away from you, in the name of Jesus. Everything that darkness has stolen from you shall be restored doubly by the reason of the light in Jesus’ name. From now on, you will never be found in wrong choices again in Jesus’ name. Indeed, you will operate in the light of the Lord to the very end in Jesus’ name.
Please share. God bless you.
