Jesus Is Passing Your Way

Focus: Mark 10:46-47 - KJV

46. And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. 47. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

Matthew 20:29-34

Opportunity comes our ways from time to time that many do miss out on. When Christ was on the face of the earth, He went to Bethesda and, even though there was a multitude of impotent folks there, only one of them was healed because he alone encountered Jesus. Bartimaeus on the other hand, was blind and could not see Jesus passing his way. He however heard that he was passing and would not allow the opportunity of a lifetime, for him to regain his sight, pass him by. He cried out loud enough for Jesus to hear and give him attention. Ironically, there is no record that Jesus returned to Bethesda or passed the Jericho way again. If Bartimaeus had missed him that day, he would just have lost out completely, like the other folks at Bethesda.

Like He passed the way to Jericho and also visited Bethesda, Jesus is passing your way today. He is the one in whom all things consist. This simply means that there is nothing that is beyond Him or impossible for Him to do. It is possible we have tried praying through priests, pastors and other media to no avail. The author of life Himself has decided to come our way like He did for Bartimaeus and the man impotent for thirty-eight years. All He is waiting for is our readiness to draw His attention to our respective situations. He had healed a multitude before, He can do it again. He had healed single persons before He can do it again. Don’t let the opportunity slip by. It may never be available again.

SOLUTION: Please call Jesus Christ by His name today, like Bartimaeus did, and ask for His mercy concerning your situation.

Please pray:

·      Thank God for giving you the grace to witness a day like this

·      Cry unto Jesus by name and ask Him to show mercy on you

·      Tell God the areas where you need His mercy like Bartimaeus was particular about regaining His sight.

If you are blessed by this post, kindly share with your contacts, as well as others, that they may be blessed also. Thank you and may God bless you abundantly as you do so, in Jesus’ name.
