Nothing Secret Afterall

Focus: Luke 12:2 - KJV

2. For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.

Matthew 10:24-33

Hypocrisy is the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one’s own behavior does not conform. It is a form of pretense in that one hides some aspects of his life which do not depict that which he claims. God frowns at such and declares that there is nothing so covered that will not be revealed, eventually. Those who operate in hypocrisy are liars and makers of a lie. They are of the devil, for he lied from the beginning.

Meanwhile, that for which people lie are open in the face of the Lord. And the one who knows the secret things will cause all that they are covering to come to limelight for all eyes to see, including those for whom they were hidden. Some will even go to the extent of bugging others with a view to trapping them so as to show correctness in their hypocrisy. It was so done to Daniel at a point when the wicked did not know how to get him. They bugged him so as to catch him regarding the laws of his God. But the mind of God is that He should never be denied.

Hence, what God expects from us is to ensure that whatever we do in the secret we can repeat in the open. If the secret cannot be displayed in the open, then it is done in darkness. We are to be bold to declare our deeds just like Daniel did, opening his windows for all to see, while he prayed to his God in abeyance of what the law of the land was. What God has instructed us to do, or whatever we do in righteousness, ought not to be hidden but made bare for all to see. Those whose acts are covered and cannot be brought to the open are hypocrites and of the devil. In the end, that which they consider covered shall be made known.

SOLUTION: Whatsoever cannot be defended in the open, please do not say or do in secret.

Please pray:

·      Give thanks to God for making you a child of the light and not one full of leaven like the pharisees

·      Ask God to forgive you of whatever act of hypocrisy you may have been engaged in while trying to be secretive in time past

·      Pray God to keep you away from evil secrets and make your life so plain like that of Christ

·      Tell God to please expose to you the secrets of your adversaries so that they may never be able to get you entangled in any way

·      Ask God for specific blessings for today

If you are blessed by this post, kindly share with your contacts, as well as others, that they may be blessed also. Thank you and may God bless you abundantly as you do so, in Jesus’ name.
