Keep Hope Alive

Focus: Job 27:3-4 - KJV

3. All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils; 4. My lips shall not speak wickedness, nor my tongue utter deceit.

Job 27:1-6

Life is made up of battles and blessings. Ironically, every blessing a man receives is an invitation to battle. A brilliant economist once said you create problems by solving a problem. A poor man wants to be rich. The moment he receives a first sum that appears like wealth in his mind, a problem or many problems are automatically created. He wants to sustain himself in wealth and he wants to live the status of the wealthy etc. When we are blessed of the Lord, aside the natural problems that need solving by the reason of the blessing, the enemy also raises battles against our souls. Such battles are almost unending till we die. Job was blessed. The enemy confronted him with battles but could not penetrate his defense. Job was deliberate in keeping the edge in place through sacrifice per adventure any of his children erred without him knowing. Yet the enemy sought occasion to buffet him by asking that his edge be removed. It follows that no matter how careful we may be in wanting to maintain our stand in the Lord to keep our fortification, just so that our faith may be tested, the enemy may be allowed an in road to shake us in battle.

Nonetheless, because we know whom we believe, it is important that we keep hope alive in the face of the battles that confront us. For as long as we remain alive, there is hope for us. If Job had concluded that God was wicked to him for allowing him to go through the hardship he did without having a fault, he would have ended up a great loser in that there is nothing he could have done to God. However because he held on to his God by faith, the seeming insurmountable problems gave way. Rest assured, those battles you woke up to see today are known to God. They are part of the hurdles of life. But because you are alive, keep believing God for your rescue. He will come through for you.

SOLUTION: A battle is not meant to exist forever. Because it has a beginning, it certainly must have an ending. Never because of battle detach from God. As long as you are alive, hope in God still. He sees and He will rescue.

The Mighty One in battle will silence every storm raging in your life this morning in the name of Jesus. He will cause you to triumph over every battle confronting you in Jesus name. Whatever you may have lost in the battle, receive the grace to recover all and more in Jesus’ name. God bless you. Happy New Month.
