Text: Luke 10:2
Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.
Bible Reading:
Luke 10:2-10.
Message:
The irony of life is that there are many people living under the yoke and bondage of the enemy who would love to be set free but do not know the way to go. Except someone takes to them the message of the kingdom and the Word of salvation, they are likely to remain for a longer time in that bondage. But why must anyone linger in a hellish life for longer when Christ has you as an ambassador on earth. The essence of your being brought out of darkness into the light of God is that you also may let your light shine unto others and help them to see the light which you have seen and now enjoy. Are you born again? Have you got the Word of life in you? The author of your salvation needs you. Interestingly, when you accept His commission as a laborer for the kingdom, you start to heal the sick and without carrying any supply, you enjoy supply because with Him, a laborer is entitled to his hire. Until Peter took up the gauntlet to proclaim the Word, he remained a nonentity. But when he did, his preaching set a multitude free at once. Stop to ponder on these things: What would your lot have been if no one preached the gospel of truth to you? And if you are in no position to preach the gospel because you are yet to know the Lord or what to preach, then you are invited to know Him. All you need as starters is to acknowledge Jesus Christ as the Lord of your life and Savior of your soul. If you will denounce sin and do this, the Lord will appoint unto you someone to take you through how to walk with Him and be His faithful laborer. Get started.
Prayer Guide:
Lord Jesus, I acknowledge you as the Lord of my life and Savior of my soul; help me to know you more and please enroll me and many more into your labor for the ripe harvest in Jesus name. From today, please help me to be useful to your kingdom in Jesus name.
