Focus: Habakkuk 2:4 – KJV - 4. Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
It is highly profiting to be humble towards the Creator. He has all we need to go through life in the best stead. Those who refuse to follow the leading of the Lord are considered puffed up and not needing the help of God. The best of life is attained by believing God for His promises. Whatever He says He would do, the same will get done and no one can hinder Him. It may appear like there is a delay; such is never a denial of God’s promise. If something happens to make the promise not to manifest, the fault is never attributable to God but the promisee.
God promised elderly Abraham and Sarah a son, but years passed with no physical sign of fulfilment. Rather than rely on his own failing body or scheming a human workaround, Abraham believed the Lord. He lived day to day by a steady, active trust in God’s word rather than immediate physical proof. In the end, he became a father of many nations. In parenthesis, God had promised the priesthood to Eli’s lineage. Rather than do the will of God, they were full of iniquity with reckless abandon. In the end the family forfeited the priesthood. Not by God’s fault but their own undoing.
Faith is the currency with which the believer thrives in the kingdom. If only we all can trust God for His faithfulness, then are we blessed with all the blessings available in the Kingdom. Those who fail to put their trust in the Lord invariably call Him a liar. The basis of lying is to forestall a negative action. But who can God fear that will cause Him to lie? If He has told you something, believe Him fully regarding it. The Lord is saying to you today: “why don’t you just trust me?”
Prayer:
Thank you, Lord for the love you bestow on me with great promises of a better tomorrow. Let your promises for my life begin to find manifestation without further delay. Let me never offend you to forfeit your plans for my life. And in whatever way I missed it in the past, do please let your mercy prevail in my affairs. Hold me up by your Spirit that I may be pleasing to you, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Please share. God bless you.
