Focus: Ecclesiastes 9:4 - KJV
4. For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.
Ecclesiastes 9:1-6
Happy New Month Beloved. May this month be to you a blessing all through in the matchless name of Jesus Christ. As we rejoice for seeing the new month, we need also to reflect on things around us. Some people were alive as at yesterday night but are not able to acknowledge the happy new month greeting today. In the meantime, the good Lord made all situation appear to us all. Some from the same situation that made others righteous, carved out wickedness. The situation that brought David to limelight in Israel and made him to be considered righteous was the situation that caused him to be hated by the king. Everyone has an appointment with death, whether righteous or wicked. But when a man dies, he reckons no more with anything that pertains to life on earth as his chapter thereat is closed. But the wicked who is still alive, can reflect and realize by his circumstance that if he died, which he would someday, he may end up in hell. That can spur him to change from his evil ways to righteousness. Saul of Tarsus was not different from a dog being a persecutor of Christ. But one day, the scale on his eyes fell and he realized himself and thereby got converted to righteousness. He ended up assured of eternal life having fought a good fight. Today, like He did to Saul of Tarsus, God is saying to everyone that is yet to repent: “why are you persecuting me?” There is hope for such a person yet not to end up badly because he is still alive. Death is a final thing.
Please ensure you settle with the Lord while there is still breath in you. Refusing to do so is putting oneself in the danger of judgment because no one knows the time of his own death unless the suicidal. God is giving us an opportunity today to reflect and adjust. Yes, the heart of man is ordinarily wicked but must yours be? Please settle for righteousness today so that you may fulfil the purpose of God for your life just like Paul did.
SOLUTION: Check in the mirror of the word of God – does the word judge you righteous or wicked? If righteous, continue to be righteous still; and if otherwise, please amend your ways by living in consonance with the word of God forthwith.
The Lord God Jehovah who is the custodian of life will not let you die young in Jesus’ name. Whatever you are into that does not please God, He will open your eyes to it and help you to change from today in Jesus’ name. When the Lord will be welcoming His saints home, may you be counted among in the end in Jesus’ name. Happy New Month.
