Look For Jesus

Focus: Hebrews 9:28 - KJV

28. So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

Hebrews 9:23-28

Prior to the coming of Christ, Israel (and perhaps many other nations) used animal sacrifice for the remission of sin because Moses said so in his laws. Theologians believe that it was a foretaste of the Christ. Well, maybe it is not wrong to so believe. But no animal’s blood has the potency of washing sin away. The son of God (in Adam) sinned and forfeited the glory of God. God, shedding Himself into flesh as the son of man (being the Son of God) came to serve the penalty for the sin of the first Adam. That sacrifice is what is required and which is sufficient for the cleansing of the sin of man, its effect and repercussion. Hence, it is puerile for any man after such a sacrifice, to seek to continue animal sacrifice for the remission of sin. It is just a waste of time. But for those who must know, by the sacrifice of Christ, man, as son of God has been reconciled to the Father. But this reconciliation, being by the blood of the Christ, is only taken benefit of if and when we approach the father through the one who stood in for us. Hence, for those who look for Jesus and not some other animal or sinful priest, salvation is assured when Jesus returns to take home the believers as He promised.

The wages of sin is death. But the price has been paid for you by the Christ. Continuing in the old order as if the Christ has done nothing is calling God a liar and thereby denying Him. This is why the weight and the effect of sin are still very visible in many lives, which ought not to be. Why not look for Jesus today instead of those who are also reveling in sin? Why not rely on the potent sacrifice as against the animal blood that God does not countenance?

SOLUTION: The faith in Christ is the only way to salvation. It does not mean other prophets are or were fake. But the reconciling blood is that of Christ. Take benefit of it by accepting what has been done and be saved now and ultimately when Christ returns.

The sacrifice of Christ over your soul shall never be in vain in Jesus’ name. The grace to enjoy ultimate salvation the Lord releases upon you now in Jesus’ name. Every impediment to your believing in the fullness of Christ’s sacrifice, the Lord will roll away for you today in Jesus’ name. You will start to take the full benefit of salvation from today in Jesus’ name.
