No Conformity To The World

Focus: Romans 12:2 - KJV

2. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

1 John 2:15-17

The world is full of lusts and therefore filthy. For anyone to be a believer in Christ indeed, the same must make up his mind to separate from lust. The most paramount of the lusts is that of the eye. That of the flesh does not get formed until the eye has transmitted an impression through its lust. Even the pride of life is not likely to form unless the eyes transmit first a reason to puff up. Those who allow lusts in themselves are never fit for the Kingdom. Hence, the Lord will prefer that we renew our minds so that we do not return to operating in those things that we had left behind when we said we were separating from the world. Continuing in fornication, adultery, stealing, gossip, unforgiveness and what have you, while claiming to be a believer, is to attempt to mock God. Yet God cannot be mocked: whatsoever a man sows, same shall he reap.

The Lord’s position for us today is to remain separate from the vomit we got disentangled from when we decided for Him, going forward. A romance with sin in any form is a declaration of lack of confidence in the way of Christ. When we get too comfortable with sin, or sinners, we get drawn into darkness from the light in which we are kept by the Lord. When such happens, repercussions of darkness begin to show and we end up blaming the Lord for our deeds. It is only permissible to be around those that are of the world when it comes to soulwinning strategies. Anything different from that may result in magnetic effect. When the metal stays too long around a magnetic source, it starts to become magnetic itself. Romancing the world will make one conform to the world. The outcome is about being shut out of the Kingdom because friendship with the world, is enmity with God.

SOLUTION: Be ye separate from anything that can cause you to be expunged from God’s presence. In the presence of God there is fullness of joy as well as pleasures ever more. You don’t want to miss that by conforming to the world.

Please pray:

·      Give thanks to God for drawing you out of darkness into His marvelous light

·      Tell God to please continue to shine His light perpetual on you and every member of the body of Christ this very day

·      Ask God to please keep you shining in the light so that darkness of the world may never comprehend you

·      Pray that the beauty from the light of God, as against the ills of darkness, should be directed your way from today

·      Ask God to please attend to your lingering requests today
