No darkness in God

Key verse: 1 John 1:5

This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

John 1:1-5

There are two forces that contend for the realms: light and darkness, the former being the more powerful force. When God was to put creation in place on earth for the comfort of man whom He later created to superintend all other creatures, He encountered a force that made the earth inhabitable to the standard of the good God. To start the work of creation therefore, God needed to get the force of darkness out of the way. This He did by bringing His force to bear, Him being Light personified. And the moment the Light came to, darkness gave way completely and the Creator performed His enterprise without let or hindrance. The same light quality was put into man whom God created in His own image and likeness.

Unfortunately, man lost the godly nature when he surrendered the authority over the earth to the devil in the beginning, which act restored darkness unto earth affecting not only man but all the creatures on earth also. Meanwhile, as there is no ill in the light but love, goodness and kindness continually, the converse is with darkness. Every evil and wickedness is found in darkness and for the avoidance of doubt, nothing good comes out of darkness. Nonetheless, man had preferred darkness to light by the deeds of Adam which is why the life of man is fraught with evil. As succor however, the Lord gave us redemption in Christ Jesus. By this, we are left to choose what life we want to live. Invariably, there are two extreme pillars and man is allowed the choice of one of them. The choice of Light translates him to the presence of God where there is fullness of joy and pleasures evermore; that of darkness brings pain continually and because the one in darkness is a liar, he colors the source of pain to deceive man to assume it is pleasurable.

Isn’t it possible for someone to just stay in between the two pillars? Such state suits the one in darkness because the one operating in between is still within his reach to whip and quip at will. But for the Light, He eschews any binge of darkness completely hence, the one in between is cast out by the force of Light deliberately to avoid pollution and contamination. If you decide for the Light today, God will embrace you. He hates darkness.

Pray: Lord, help to keep me perpetually in your Light never to get out of it and its benefits in Jesus name.
