Obey God

Focus: Ecclesiastes 12:13 - KJV

13. Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

Deuteronomy 10:12

God is purposeful and will appreciate His purpose being fulfilled. Like every reasonable manufacturer, a product is made for a purpose and unless the purpose is achieved, the product fails and disappoints the manufacturer. It is the same between God our maker, and man, His product. The sole purpose for man is to occupy and replenish the earth. Since man was not there when the earth was first made in a perfect shape before the enemy fell into it, he can only get a glimpse of what to do to bring the earth to the state of the initial creation through replenishing, by receiving the template from God. Unless, therefore man hearkens to God, he cannot succeed in replenishing the earth to give God His desired pleasure, else, man becomes a failure.

The mind of God was to create a nation unto Himself to occupy Canaan and therefore be the headquarters of godliness. He picked Abram as the man to start the journey. Many things happened that made his descendants end up in Egypt instead of being rooted in Canaan. Thereafter, they got to Canaan and dwelled with a mixed multitude thereby polluting the initial idea. They were taken into captivity and forfeited the land they were to occupy. God arranged their return but things never remained the same again even up till now. All of these because from generation to generation, Israel failed to see through the prism of God’s eye, fear Him and obey His commands. For every slip they made, they moved farther away from the manufacturer’s intent.

In this new year, the Lord is saying to us that, for as many as would truly fear Him enough to obey His commands and leadings, He would surely bring them to an expected end which is glorious. The secret of the believer that would shine this year lies in the fear of the Lord and the readiness to obey His commands. No one is to assume that the Lord will keep blessing him while he fails to bring forth the purpose for which he was created. Those who will not obey God this year should not expect Him to go out of His way to keep blessing their frolic which is clearly against His will.

By the power in the name of Jesus Christ, the Lord will open unto you the channel to communicate with Him and receive clear instructions; and the grace to fear and obey Him fully, you will have in Jesus’ name. No devil will be able to cause you to deviate from the will and purpose of God in any way this year or at all, in Jesus’ name. In the name of Jesus, you will be pleasing unto God this year without fail and you will end the year with great shouts of hallelujah in Jesus’ name.
