Peace With God

Focus: Romans 5:1 - KJV

1. Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

Romans 3:21-28

Righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost represent the Kingdom of God. Our righteousness is ordinarily like filthy rags; hence, it is not sufficient to show forth the Kingdom. But, by reason of Christ’s sacrifice, we are justified by faith and therefore upright in the righteousness of Christ, whereby we are able to approach the throne of grace without inhibition, and we can address God as Daddy. By this, we are at peace with God having been reconciled to Him by the Christ. And because we are at peace with God, we have joy which is never dependent on happenings in our lives but on the affinity that we have with our God. It is from that joy of the Kingdom that we draw strength.

There was a man called Stephen who was acclaimed to be a just man. He was so courageous to face the Jews who opposed the Christian movement, telling them truth to power, having been justified by faith and operating in the grace of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Even when he was being stoned to his eventual death, he was not troubled in any way; and like the Master, his joy was never diminished. He prayed for his detractors and did see the Master rising up to receive him in glory. His life depicted citizenship of the Kingdom.

The Lord is asking us today to be a part of His Kingdom by settling scores with Him. Such scores are settled when our sins are washed away. That happens when we believe in Christ and obey Him. This settlement puts us at peace with God and we become His heirs, just like Christ. Indeed, we become joint heirs with Christ once we are at peace with God.

SOLUTION: It is never too late to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. That is the route to peace with God. Not attending Church, but having a personal relationship with God through Christ Jesus.

Please pray:

·      Raise praises unto God by deliberately shouting Hallelujah to the Lord seven times in appreciation of His person

·      Ask God to please forgive you of all misdeeds and restore His peace to you as well as the joy of salvation. If you were not born again before now, pray that the Lord shows you mercy by the blood of Jesus and ask Jesus to be the Lord of your life and the Savior of your soul from today

·      Tell the Lord to preserve you in His peace so that your joy may never be eroded by any one, situation or circumstance.

·      Pray for those who are yet to come to salvation that the Lord will reach them to draw them unto Himself, beginning from today

·      Tell God the things you need him to do for you today
