Remain confident in God

Focus: Hebrews 10:35-36 - KJV

35. Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. 36. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

Hebrews 10:32-39

God is, and anyone that must take a benefit of His being must believe that He is and He’s a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. It is very abnormal to claim we believe in God and yet not believe in Him. This is why many do call on the name of the Lord but without effect. Though they appear to believe in God, they do not really believe deep down that God is able to do things they seek from Him and therefore bend to other means.

For us to achieve much in God, we need to have confidence that He is able to do what He says He will do. This is one of the reasons He said David was a man after His own heart. For David, even though it seems God had forsaken him, he was adamant in continuous praise knowing that God is true.

Whenever it appears things are not going right, there is need for our patience and continuous reliance on God. If we are impatient, there is no better help for us than in God. Hence, our impatience will end up working against us. Saul heard the murmurings of the people when it appeared they were being delayed over the specified seven days for sacrifice. Rather than being patient and wait on God through His servant the prophet, he hastily made sacrifice to please the people. But his pleasing the people made him to displease God. In essence, it is better to have the whole world turn against one and remain steadfast with God than have God turn against one and the whole world with him. Saul suffered great things for rejecting God. We are to learn from this example and hold on tenaciously unto God. Those suggesting alternatives to us will desert us when the consequences show. One with God is a majority. If it is right with God, stick with it. Have confidence in God. Hope in Him for He will yet do what He says He will do. Continue in the will of God. Never draw back for God has no pleasure in those who draw back. Stand firm in your faith in Him and He will never fail you.

I pray with you today that all your expectation in God shall find manifestation in Jesus name. The Holy One of Israel shall prove Himself positively in your life from hence in Jesus name. Your faith, patience and waiting on Him shall never be in vain in the name of Jesus Christ. Be strong in the Lord still; be confident; and you will surely laugh last.
